How I Feel When Someone Makes Me Irate

Essentially, this is how I feel when someone pushes
my buttons most notably YouTube users like Benthelooney. Oh, how I loathe that dipshit contradicting nostalgiatard. This is The Unknown Avenger, out.

What-A-Cartoon Show Review

Hello peeps, this is The Unknown Avenger with a review for you wonderful people! Today, I will be reviewing the Cartoon Network program known as "What-A-Cartoon".

The What-A-Cartoon show began life on Cartoon Network on February 20, 1995 and ended its new episode run on November 28, 1997. What makes this show famous is the fact that the show launched some of the Cartoon Network Cartoon Cartoons.

Now for my thoughts...
The What-A-Cartoon was a great place for animators to start their possible careers on Cartoon Network. Many of today's animators got their careers started by creating a cartoon for the What-A-Cartoon show and the show was very clever and giving the viewer the chance to see what cartoons animators could come up with and in my honest opinion, that was a good idea.

Concept: 5/5
Originality: 5/5

My top five What-A-Cartoon shorts that didn't become Cartoon Cartoons.

  1. Godfrey and Zeke
  2. Kitchen Cassanova
  3. Malcom and Melvin
  4. Wind-Up Wolf
  5. Buy One, Get One Free
All in all, the What-A-Cartoon show was a fantastic source of cartoon genius and made some of the most memorable cartoons of all times. This is The Unknown Avenger, out.

UPDATE (2012 Edition)

Hello peeps, I am back from a lengthy hiatus.
Yes, I am back baby and ready to rant some more after a near complete breakdown. I am so glad to be back and now, I am ready to unleash some hell! To kick start the 2012 ranting season, I have decided to post topics I will be covering over the course of the next few months (hopefully). Enjoy, I am The Unknown Avenger saying, 'If it's not a cat, then why on Earth are you trying to feed it cat food, you fucking moron?!'

SCHEDULE
MTV (Music Television)
Pageants (Yes, I have finally gathered enough evidence to tackle this. YAY!)
Traffic V2 (An update more or less.)
Reality Television (This may be the opener. But, I am not sure yet.)
Judgmental Morons (Yeah, I need to get this addressed before I forget it.)
Disney (Yeah, Disney does need a little bashing. But, not to the caliber that some would expect from me.)
Benthelooney (A dumb ass YouTuber who initially impressed me, but when I look back over it, I realized that I was a jackass for liking him.)
More to come...

CANCELED RANT
Seth MacFarlene (Reason: I respect Seth and I do sorta like some of the comedy in his programs. But, he's not bad enough to warrant an entire rant on him.)

And there you have it, so sit back and relax as I get ready to start dishing out bowls on hell fire chili. This is The Unknown Avenger, out.

The Reasons Why Nickelodeon Died As A Family Network & Became A Shitty Network

Hello everybody, I am The Unknown Avenger and this is something out-of-the-ordinary for me. In this particular blog post, I'm not exactly doing what you call a look back. What I'm doing is listing the reasons why Nickelodeon is such a shitty ass network now a days and my thoughts on the decisions made by Nickelodeon.

Without further ado, lets get this party started!

  1. The removal of the game shows: My problem with this decision to... Now yes, I know shows filmed before an audience were in decline, but that doesn't mean give up and don't try to save it while you still have a chance to do so.
  2. The removal of the channel Nick GAS: Now, was it really necessary to drop your games and sports channel for a 24 hour channel devoted to teenagers?! No, not really. I mean, splitting Noggin (Now Nick Jr.) and The N (Now TeenNick) was a stupid decision. I mean, what preschoolers are going to be watching Nick Jr. at 3:00 in the morning?! None, that's who. The teenagers had the night time and the young ones had the daytime, and that was perfect just the way it was.
  3. The lack of variety: Okay, lets be honest. Nickelodeon has some variety as of 2011, but the variety is pure shit! The teenager themed shows are the same thing and sadly, the cartoons are going that same way.
  4. The schedule: This is a BIG problem if you ask me. Nickelodeon has the weekday afternoons all screwed up. I mean, they air one show as much as six to eight times in a single day. Okay, that right there makes no sense unless it's a marathon. But, oh, no, they do this every dang day! Jeez, that's too much! That's like putting a marathon of all the episodes of Thomas the Tank Engine to date on PBS Kids Sprout and airing them nonstop.
  5. The cast not wanting to work in Orlando, instead of Hollywood. OKAY, this is a problem for me because, WHY DO YOU WANT TO FILM IN A CITY WHERE THE DAMN PRESS IS TRYING TO STALK YOUR ASS EVERY MOTHER FUCKING DAY?! Sure, it may have been easier, but hello, the press doesn't stalk your damn ass around Orlando, Florida. There's a lot less press coverage and you could do things without having to be hounded every single place you go.
  6. The closure of Nickelodeon Studios: This is a problem because Nickelodeon didn't even try to save the studios by shooting more shows there. Instead, they let the shit hit the fan, so to speak and sank it. Instead they decided to use Nickelodeon on Sunset. (I went there in 2004, and that studio is SHIT!) I've been to Nickelodeon Studios three times and it was bigger and more comfortable than Nickelodeon on Sunset. And to top that, Nickelodeon Studios had more to do besides sitting and watching a show.
And those six reasons are just some of the reasons among many others on why Nickelodeon is now longer a great channel, rather a shitty ass network.

Let me know what you think, hit me, up on Facebook, YouTube or email me. This is The Unknown Avenger, out.

Unknown Look Backs: Nickelodeon

Hello everyone, welcome back to "Unknown Look Backs", the next generation of "Unknown Rants". Today we're going to take a look back at the first kids network Nickelodeon. So sit back and enjoy this episode of "Unknown Look Backs" as we tackle Nickelodeon! (This is going to be as fun as our first episode which was Cartoon Network.)

The History of Nickelodeon
Through the Eyes of
The Unknown Avenger

My history of Nickelodeon traces its root back to the mid-1990's. At that time Nickelodeon was the second network I watched a lot. (The first obviously being Cartoon Network.) I remember watching fantastic shows like 'All That', 'Kenan & Kel' and so on. At that point in time, I didn't ever think this network would suck in just over a decade. I was simply thrilled with the classic programming and the shows made me laugh like crazy due to the zany antics of the characters and I for one, found it very humorous. The late half of the 1990's and Nickelodeon was on fire! (Not literally.) But we had some of the best programming at that time and it was at a time when networks weren't afraid to try something edgy.

The twenty first century began very promising with amazing shows like "Invader Zim" and holy cow, it looked like we were on the verge of something bigger than ever before. As the next few years ticked by, Nickelodeon continued to shuck out more and more fantastic programming and all was well in the world. It looked like the good times would never end. But as the saying goes, "All good things come to an end." and at that time I never believed it. Then came the 'trouble on the horizon' (so to speak). The year was 2004. Nickelodeon was still doing good, but it felt as though change was coming and I wasn't sure of what kind of change in store for us.

Now, we hit the era I call, 'Doom is here, but not yet ready to attack.' The years 2005 and 2006 were problematic, but were still enjoyable. Then we hit the dreaded year 2007, when Nickelodeon started to degrade so bad, it would be best described in anger. (But, I'm not gonna go there this time.) Nickelodeon was in the stages of phasing out whatever older shows they hadn't axed off earlier and began to shove the new garbage into the network. This completely turned me off and I only watched whatever classics I could until they disappeared off the face of Nickelodeon. The years that have followed are no better. Granted, Nick does have some okay programs (like Cartoon Network), it's not enough to save Nick from the failure that it is becoming with every passing year.

So, now we transition to the segment I like to call...

The New Shows I Like
Through the Eyes of The Unknown Avenger

  1. T.U.F.F. Puppy: This show is simply interesting and good and excellently executed.
  2. House of Anubis: The only non-Nickelodeon live-action show on Nickelodeon that I like. It is fantastic and shares the title of perfect (much like Ben 10: Ultimate Alien does on Cartoon Network).

In conclusion, Nickelodeon is worse than Cartoon Network, but they have two decent shows, so there is still hope! :-)

Upcoming Unknown Look Backs

  1. Music Television (MTV).
  2. G4 (The former home of video games on television.)
SNICK around, I'll be back with more Unknown Look Backs.

Unknown Look backs: The Next Generation of Unknown Rants

Good day to all my fans and/or readers. I am The Unknown Avenger, but I am with a quick update followed by a new segment called 'History of [blank] Through the Eyes of The Unknown Avenger'. :D I have decided to give all my blogs a retirement and recreate them as even better blogs. I'm sure you will all love the improvements. Sincerely, The Unknown Avenger

The topic for the first look back, of the new format is the same topic, that led me to creating this blog in the first place. That topic is... Cartoon Network.

The History of Cartoon Network
Through the Eyes of
The Unknown Avenger

As a child in 1990's America, I was introduced to Cartoon Network at a very young age, and it was at that time the best form of entertainment anywhere on the planet. The whole classical cartoon library gathered by Ted Turner and aired on his channel was (and still are) the best cartoons of all times. My favorite cartoon from that collection was (and still is) the Looney Tunes. But all in all, those years were fantastic. Then came the Powerhouse Era (an era I love to fucking death) and it still was the best place to be (Don't worry, I loved Nickelodeon at this time as well, but that will be mentioned on a future look back.) as a child. The cartoons were amazing, the movies were incredible and well, it was a winning formula that couldn't be beat by the major networks. Even the channel's Toonami block was fantastic at this time.

So, we enter the 21st Century, and Cartoon Network was still on a roll, continuing to shuck out fantastic shows and movies and looked like it was about to become 'Cartoon King of the World'. But alas, it came to an end in the middle of the past decade. In 2005, Cartoon Network began to form the downfall that would almost kill the network for me in it's entirety. In the years 2005 and 2006, it was still decent to an extent, but, it wasn't as great as the previous years were, but, it was still okay. Then we hit, 2007 and oh my god, it was the beginning of the "end". Cartoon Network began to turn a negative outlook towards the older generations and start to cater towards just the new generation. I was simply offended and horrified at once, and I left the channel for a while. I came back in 2009, although it was unofficial. By then, it was bad (and I mean BAD). But, there was some good (Sad thing: It wasn't the same good I had come to expect. But, something good is better than an entire network filled with crap.). The big problem when Cartoon Network started mentioning CNReal and I nearly went insane because... you don't put live-action programming on a cartoon channel. Over the years since 2009 (Well, technically three since I did research in '09, I found out who was to blame for this bull crap. Stuart Snyder! Quite frankly, Snyder is a prick who doesn't seem to understand the basics in running a network that is supposed to be about cartoons! The next problem came in 2010, when I found out, they were going to drop the meaning of the word 'Cartoon' from 'Cartoon Network'. In my mind, I was thinking, "What the hell are they doing?! I know you want to cater to the new generation, but that's taking it a tad too far." And so today, I only watch for the few classics they have on the program and the few new shows I honestly like.

The New Shows I Like
In The Eyes Of The Unknown Avenger

It's hard to believe it, but yeah, Cartoon Network has some decent programming in 2011. The following shows I like because they are somewhat trying to recapture the classic image my generation grew up with.

  1. Adventure Time: This show isn't half bad. It's a bit boring at times, but it's still pretty good.
  2. Regular Show: To be honest, Regular Show isn't bad either, but sometimes it can be boring (a tad more than Adventure Time), but, it's still decent enough to keep my attention.
  3. Ben 10: Ultimate Alien: AH, this is the best show on the channel, hands down, done deal. I love this show. This show much like it's predecessors is perfect!
  4. Symbionic Titan: Even though Cartoon Network was dumb to cancel this, this show is a close second as my favorite show on the channel, hands down, done deal.
In conclusion, despite being a shit hole at times, Cartoon Network is bad, but...it's getting better slowly but surely (At least I hope so.)

Upcoming Unknown Look Backs

Yes, I have decided to make all "rants" into a "look back" format with a "like" section at the bottom if I feel as though something has impressed me enough to the point of getting that kind of praise.
Onto the list of next episodes of Unknown Look Backs.

  1. Nickelodeon (I am going to enjoy this one as much as I did on this one for Cartoon Network.)
  2. Music Television (This will be complex, but I can handle it.)
  3. G4 (Oh yeah, this one will be more tricky, but I'll manage.)
Many more to come from me The Unknown Avenger, but don't worry, I'm back with a new out look on the television networks circa 2011. If they continue to improve, I may just shout "Hallelujah!" from the Empire State Building in Midtown Manhattan!
